Trick for Loading Labels in Your Epson Colorworks Printer
If you have one of the models listed below of Epson Colorworks printers and are experiencing an issue loading your gap labels or your black mark labels. This document provides a workaround for loading labels into your Epson Colorworks label printer.
- 8000A
- 7500A
- 6500A / 6000P
- 4000A
- 3500A
- Using the touchscreen, set the label printer's detection mode in media settings to None.
- Load the labels into the printer so that the machine grabs the labels and does not indicate any feed errors.
- Set the printer back to the desired media detect mode, either gap or black mark.
- With the desired detection mode set, run a media calibration. Go into the menu, select maintenance, and then calibration. Inside the calibration menu, select simple media detect. After the detection is successful, go ahead and print your labels.
