Label Applicators & Dispensers

Saving You Time and Money

Vivid Data Group offers several options of applicators and dispensers for your business. We carry Autolabe, LabelMate, and Pack Leader USA applicators and LabelMoto brand for our dispensers. Label dispensers and label applicators help remove a label from its liner or backing paper. They are used in manufacturing, bulk mailing, packaging, and the food and beverage industry. Manual label applicators and multi-roll label dispensers are useful for small jobs. The operator pulls the liner or backing paper around a plate or a bar, peeling the label away from the liner. High-speed electric label dispensers are often used in industrial settings. When the operator removes a label, a sensor detects its absence and switches the motor to advance the label roll. The label is pulled over a strip plate, which separates the label and its liner. Electric label dispensers use either a photosensor or a limit switch as a sensor. Specialized label dispensers of both manual and electric types are designed for labels of unusual size or material such as bottle and jar labels, die-cut parts, and hang tabs.

Applicator machines are reliable, flexible, robust and can be configured for a wide range of applications. Whether a label is to be applied to individual products, or to a pallet of goods awaiting shipment, the same fundamental requirements for traceability, legibility, and clarity apply. What Are Label Applicators?

Label applicators are machines used to apply pressure-sensitive labels directly to product containers, bottles, packages, or drums. Rolls of labels are loaded into the applicators, then applied to the products. There are two general categories of applicators, those that apply pre-printed labels and those that print information directly onto the labels and then apply them to products. Typically, brands using professional product labels have them printed by a label manufacturer, who then coordinates the label printing to match an apply-only label application system.

Types of Label Applicators

There are three primary types of label applicators, all of which can be set up to support either an apply-only or a print-and-apply system:

  • Integrated automated label applicators
  • Stand-alone labelers
  • Semi-automated applicators

Dispensers

LabelMoto®

Label dispensers have many uses. Imagine how many items you purchase have labels, almost everything. Those labels were either applied by a machine or by hand and most likely were peeled from the backing paper using some sort of label dispenser. Some of the more popular are bulk mailing, manufacturing, packaging, food and beverage, fast food, photo labs, and more.

What are Label Dispensers?

Label dispensers are machines that remove a label from its backing, or liner. Then, typically, an operator manually takes the label and applies it to a product.

Dispensers allow for a more accurate label application every time and also speed up the labeling process. Label dispensers have many uses. Types of Label Dispensers

There are several types of label dispensers, including manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated dispensers. A manual dispenser is a hand-operated machine, wherein an operator pulls the label roll around a plate, which separates the label from its backing. Semi-automatic label dispensers speed up the label application process by automatically moving the roll of labels on the dispenser, using a sensor to start and stop the movement of the roll, allowing the operator to simply pick up and apply the label. Fully automated systems are part of label applicators, which both dispense and apply the labels to products.

Today, there are many variations of label dispensers available, with stainless steel dispensers for medical, dairy, and food production environments and durable dispensers for industrial settings.
