Afinia Ink Bundles

Afinia Memjet inks are water-based dye inks that are customized to work with Memjet® printhead. Advanced dye colorants are used to achieve the highest combination of image quality and reliability on a wide range of plain and inkjet-receptive media without requiring additional drying or curing steps.

Afinia L801 Ink and Printhead

The Afinia L801 ink is based on the Memjet Guthega technology. The Afinia L801 ink is a water-based dye ink that is designed specifically to work with Memjet printing platform. Advanced, unique dye colorants are used to achieve superb image quality on a wide range of uncoated and inkjet receptive media types. Printing using Afinia L801 ink on these material types does not require any additional drying or curing steps, greatly streamlining the process of producing high quality labels that are ready to apply instantly. The color gamut is large allowing for a wide variety of colors across the spectrum. The ink is FDA-approved aqueous ink in all colors. The Afinia L801 ink is the “secret sauce” so to speak, with droplets smaller than rival inks that allow it to produce the highest resolution at the highest print speeds. The Afinia L801 ink used in the label printers feature Memjet “Waterfall” Technology. These Memjet-powered Color Label Printers feature 70,400 jets per printhead that releasing 700 million ink drops per second. The inks are environmentally friendly, and the Afinia L801 ink's water-based inks meet global regulations for compliance and many other industry standards. Afinia L801 Plus Ink and Printhead

First introduced in 2018, the L801 Plus ink was the first ink with Watershield Technology to be introduced in the marketplace. The PLUS ink is what
sets the printer apart from the standard L801. A label printed with Afinia L801 Plus ink has significantly more durability and resistance to moisture and UV compared to the standard dye based, Memjet Ink. This makes the L801 Plus ink great for applications such as chilled foods or drinks, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and other products that are exposed to liquids or moisture. Afinia L801 Plus inks use a more neutral black chroma for printing blacks and grays, providing truer tones with less color tinting and a deeper more neutral black.

Afinia L801 Plus inks have a safer chemical composition composed of much less severe chemical warnings than traditional inkjet, liquid toner, solvent, or UV inks. These inks are free from phthalate esters, benzophenone, bisphenol-A (BPA), HAPs - Hazardous Air Pollutants, SVHCs, heavy metals, and aromatic amines. The Afinia L901/CP950 ink is based on the Guthega technology by Memjet. The Afinia L901 ink / CP950 ink is an aqueous-based dye ink that is manufactured specifically to work with Memjet printers. Cutting edge, exclusive dye colorants are used to achieve superior image clarity on a wide range of different materials, both uncoated and inkjet receptive. Printing using Afinia L901/CP950 ink on these substrates dries instantly. There is no need for any additional steps to dry the L901/CP950 ink, greatly simplifying the process of printing labels on demand that are ready for application. Afinia L901/CP950 Plus Ink and Printhead

Introduced in 2019, the L901/CP950 Plus ink followed the L801 Plus ink as a formulation introduced with the Watershield Technology.
The PLUS ink is what sets the L901 and CP950 apart from the standard L801 and other Memjet Guthega printers. A label printed with Afinia L901/CP950 Plus ink has significantly resistance to moisture and durability from UV light and rays when compared to the standard dye based ink. This makes the L901/CP950 Plus ink great for applications such as refrigerated foods, chilled drinks, frozen foods, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and other products that are exposed to environments with higher humidity or moisture. Afinia 901 Plus ink / CP950 Plus inks use a more chroma that is more neutral for printing truer blacks and grays, providing more accurate tones with less color tinting and deeper black colors.

Afinia L901/CP950 Plus inks have a milder chemical composition with less severe chemical advisories than traditional solvent, liquid toner, inkjet and UV inks. These inks are free from bisphenol-A (BPA), HAPs - Hazardous Air Pollutants, phthalate esters, benzophenone, heavy metals, SVHCs, and aromatic amines.

The main advantage of the L901/CP950 Plus ink is significantly more resistant to the effects of prolonged moisture exposure. This new technology also produces deeper blacks, uses more responsibly-sourced inks and helps to prolong the life of the printhead.

Memjet Printheads

Memjet printheads pack 70,400 nozzles into a 222.8 mm (8.77 in) wide 1,600 dpi printhead that can easily be configured to print one or four colors and can be used in 1-wide to 5-wide configurations. Memjet’s efficient silicon structure enables the printheads to remain cost-effective and the single-pass print technology delivers an impressive combination of speed and image quality.
