GHS Label Printers
What is GHS?
The Globally Harmonized System (GHS) is now the law for any company that produces or supplies hazardous substances. GHS labels make it possible for every supplier in the world to use standardized warnings and product information, ultimately making the industry a much safer place. But you don’t have to turn to expensive print houses to produce your GHS-compliant labels. Vivid Data Group helps you to produce them completely in-house—and we make it easy. Most GHS printers are in two categories: Roll Label and Sheet Fed printers. Roll Label printers dispense the material to the printer via a roll of GHS material, while the sheet fed printers receive the material in sheets via the paper tray in the printer. If your labels require BS5609 certification or any other configuration, contact us to discuss options by calling us at 855-848-4332, emailing us at sales@vividdatallc.com, or via our website on the Contact Us page.

Why Choose GHS Label Printers?
GHS labels require durable, clear text printing that can withstand chemicals, abrasion, moisture, and UV exposure. Both printers use LED electrophotographic technology with a high-heat-capable fuser. This allows them to bond toner securely to durable synthetic materials such as Polyester (PET), Polypropylene (PP), or Vinyl‑based synthetics designed for toner-based printing systems. Toner is a fine powder composed of plastic, silica, and organic compounds that is melted onto paper. This results in prints that are water-resistant and fade-resistant, making them ideal for durability in the toughest environments. The printers are designed to handle materials up to 254 gsm, so handling thick, heavy labels is no problem.
There are three types of material used with these printers: either Continuous Roll Material, Sheet Labels, or Blank Roll Labels. The printers are full-color CMYK Printers, so you can print any full-color logo, graphic, or text on a blank label. If you have labels that are pre-printed with a logo or other special graphics, then the printers can be used to fill in the specific product variable data from an SDS form or even add the appropriate pictograms with the red diamonds.
