Kanani Foods is a Las Vegas-based supplier of sushi, sandwiches, and salads to casinos, retailers, and convenience stores in Nevada and the surrounding states. Founded in 2003, Kanani has grown from an 800 to a 20,000 square foot warehouse and have increased their product mix from 1 to 195.
Kanani started printing label sheets on an inkjet printer, moved on to thermal (black only), and thermal overprint of preprinted labels. Their need for variable data labels increased branding sophistication, and growing product lines caused them to seek a more professional and scalable label printing solution.
We have a large variety of flavors and are adding new products every month. Outsourcing label printing was beginning to be a burden. In addition to managing the purchasing and inventory of different labels for all of our flavors, there were set up fees, shortages, and delays. We couldn’t ship orders without labels which led to lost revenue and lost opportunities. The Afinia L801 Color Label Printer simplified that process. Now we print what we need, just in time for shipment.
Brite Solution manufactures and packages more than 80 chemical products for the Household, Garden, Car Care, and Professional Cleaning markets. The sheer volume of label changes required a different solution.
Brite Solutions needed to find a cost-effective solution to bring their chemical labels into compliance with Classification, Labeling, and Packaging – European Chemicals Agency (CLP-ECHA) requirements, which is part of the worldwide Global Harmonization System (GHS) effort.
Mastercraft Labels has a number of 8-color flexo presses and wanted to improve its label proof creation process.
